Aleksandra, Analytics Project Lead, UPM Business Hub Wrocław

I came to UPM for one year and stayed for 12. My journey with the company started in 2010, as an accountant at UPM Raflatac. I remember that my first meeting with my future manager went really well and we took to each other right away! After my maternity leave, I moved into the role of Business Control Specialist and then – RTR Process Development Specialist.

When it was announced that UPM would open a new Business Hub in Wrocław, I took up the challenge and became a Data Analyst in the LTC Department. In this role, I analysed data to help our business move forward and grow successfully. With the beginning of 2023 I changed my role to Analytics Project Lead in which I am mainly responsible for implementing scrum methodology and tools for effective analytics project management and play active role in improvement project definition phase based on development framework.

What I like most about my job is the opportunity to meet a lot of talented people – my co-workers have extensive experience in data analysis, and I am happy to learn all the technical aspects from them since I come from a more financial background. Whenever there is a problem, we all sit down to brainstorm ideas and work together to find a solution. I think that we complement one another, making a great team.

One of the best aspects of working at UPM is its Nordic work culture – the sense of security, transparency and respect for people, animals and the planet. UPM participates in different CSR activities, which are close to my heart as they aim to help people and improve our environment.

I am glad that I’ve had the chance to work with so many amazing colleagues, who have become my role models, both professional and personal. My job keeps me constantly motivated and wanting to achieve more. I look forward to many more years of job satisfaction with UPM.
